Order-Flow

GOALS

For the new blue.ch platform, we designed and implemented all core user flows – from login and package selection to product modifications. The goal: to create a modern, consistent user experience across all touchpoints.

Context

With the rebranding of "blue", services like blue Cinema, blue TV, blue News, and Teleclub were merged into a unified platform.

METHODS

  • Prototyping
  • Styleguides (Darkmode)
  • Interface-Guidelines
  • Device-specific adaptations (Web, Mobile, TV)

Swisscom

UX/UI Designer

Learnings

  • I learned to integrate functional logic and business rules early in the flow design – especially in complex, multi-device environments.
  • I learned that a cohesive dark mode isn’t just about color inversion – it’s a distinct UX challenge with a strong focus on readability and visual balance.

Phase 1: Research

PLATFORM ANALYSIS & REQUIREMENTS

We reviewed all existing offerings and identified common interaction patterns, technical constraints, and customer expectations. Special focus was placed on the variety of entry points: web, mobile app, and TV box – both with and without login.

Phase 2: Structure & Styleguide

blue Darkmode

Based on the Swisscom style guide, we developed a standalone, consistent dark mode design system for blue.ch – optimized for entertainment content and cross-device use.

Phase 3: Concept & Design

Order-Flows

We designed various order flows – for new packages or changes to existing subscriptions. The flows had to function seamlessly across all entry points, whether logged in or not, on web, mobile, or TV.
